Prescott Instruments specialise in laboratory instrument and in-house software development for the Rubber, Plastics and Elastomers industry. With their latest machine, Dynamic Mechanical Analyser, I was asked to shoot a series of photographers to aid a brand new leaflet and content for their website.
The Dynamic Mechanical Analyser, which is a used in dynamic and static testing on a variety of materials, was one of the biggest still objects I’ve photographed to date. It made my Lastolite Hi-Lite 6×7 look small. Therefore quite a bit of Photoshop and post processing was needed to create the white background cut out required.
